The main gear is mounted with 7" long 5/8" dia. titanium 6AL/4V bars that were drilled for an exact fit of the bolts, thus eliminating corrosion issues with the plans 5/8 steel tubes and SS end plugs. It also eliminates the chance that a bolt can bend after a hard landing which is a common occurrance leading to loose gear and ground tracking and saftey isues.
